1. How do I use Web Services? Return to top This is something you should have been trained on by your department. Please contact the relevant person and request training. 2. How do I get a login account? Return to top We can only accept account requests from your department head. These should include the user's full name, email address and the Class required. 3. I wasn't paying attention and forgot my password: Return to top Use our new automated mailer to send your details to you. Just enter your email address you used to sign up with and your details will be emailed to you straight away. 4. Why is my password a mixture of letters and numbers? Return to top We take our and your security very seriously here and that is why the passwords are a combination of letters and numbers. This is to stop hackers and other nefarious bad-uns from using software to guess a real word password. 5. Who do I contact if I have a problem? Return to top Please email the attaching the file in question and the full path that you are uploading to. 6. What are Access Keys? Return to top Access keys are the "Hot-Key" shortcuts of the internet. As we continue to strive to increase the useability and accessibility of our sites, we have included various features to make navigation easier. In the navigation bars, certain letters have underbars, these are the Hot-Key letters. In Internet Explorer, press the ALT Key and the letter and then enter and you will go to that page. As usual, things are easier in Mozilla Firefox, all you need to do is ALT and the letter. So, for example, if you want to Browse the jobs, ALT + B then Enter will take you there. (Mozilla is just ALT + B) 7. How do I tab between form elements? Return to top Not really a question we get asked, but something ALL web users should know for all sites. When entering information into a form, say for example when logging on to the site, just press Tab to move to the next field and then enter to submit the form. This saves you from having to use the mouse. If you need to go back to the previous field, Shift + Tab moves you back. 8. How do I rename a division? Return to top You can rename a division by using the Edit function
(ALT + E) and navigating to the division in question and then
clicking on 9. How do I mark a division for deletion? Return to top You can mark a division for deletion by using the rename function and putting zzz at the beginning of the division name. This notifies our system that the division can be removed. Use this function if you have made naming errors or uploaded test divisions and now want them removed. 10. How do I change the division ticket settings? Return to top You can change the division ticket settings by using
the Edit function (ALT + E) and navigating to the division in
question and then clicking on How to edit these settings is beyond the scope of this FAQ. Suffice to say... "Beware all ye who enter here". 11. How do I publish a job? Return to top The publish function is a handy way of running a Buildlist through Web Services. It is assumed that you have already uploaded all of your divisions through Web Services. There are 4 steps to this process: 1) Browse and upload your Buildlist.xml file 2) Check the Buildlist file 3) Apply the Buildlist file 4) Collect pdf results. How to create a buildlist is beyond the scope of this FAQ. 12. Why isn't my question here? Return to top Short answer: Because it isn't frequently asked. Longer answer: email it to the and we may add it to this FAQ for future reference. 13. I clicked on the error button but there was no error report. Return to top The most likely cause of this is if you uploaded a document that is named differently from the division. Please ensure that the document name and the division are the same. 14. How should I name my file? Return to top It is imperative that you use the correct file naming structure for this system. Filenames must be formatted as acronym_ with no spaces, £$%^& !"£()+=~#@:/?><\| etc. The filename must also be less than 40 characters in length. |
